THE ANOINTED OREOS
The Anointed Oreos was founded by
comedian Lamont Bonman (aka The Rev. Monty “B” Sharpton) in
1996. The group is comprised of Lamont, El King, Kent Moody and
Gerald Simpson and specialize in comedic musical parodies. They
put the gospel message into the “oldies.” This hilarious group
has received standing ovations at hundreds of concerts from
corporate events to churches, including:
Boeing
3-in-1 Christian Business Network
The American Dental Association
The City of Long Beach
On-Line Communications
Various Calvary Chapels
Numerous Victory Outreaches
Crenshaw Christian Center
City of Refuge
Faithful Central Bible Church

The Anointed Oreos have also performed as special
guests on BET’s Oh Drama! and the Celebration of Gospel Company, which featured
Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Shirley Ceasar, Steve Harvey, Destiny’s Child, Yolanda
Adams and Bishop T.D. Jakes, to name just a few.
The Anointed Oreos have recently shot a pilot for
Trinity Broadcasting Network called “04.” And their long-awaited C.D. entitled
“Brand New Oldies” is scheduled for release in the Spring of 2004 featuring
parodies of the great Motown hits: My Lord and Ain’t Too Proud To Praise Him
(Temptations’ “My Girl” and “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg”); Saved Healed Delivered (Stevie
Wonder’s “Signed Sealed Delivered”); Let’s Pray Together (Al Green’s “Let’s Stay
Together”), etc.
If you’re looking for excitement at your event,
the Oreos are a must – they always deliver.
